Travel Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) to Angkor Wat: 3 Days / 2 Nights

This Saigon to Angkor travel starts in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam and finishes in Angkor Wat, Siem Reap (Cambodia). We pick you up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Then transfer to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. City tour to explore this bustling capital. Next day travel by boat to Siem Reap, Angkor Wat (July to February). We have an option of private aircon van tansfer when the boat cannot go from March to June due to low water on Tonle Sap lake. The boat takes about 6 hours, it has aircon and toilet and the aircon van takes 5 hours. Cambodian visa can be obtained at the border and costs USD20 per person. Please take 1 photo passport size.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) - Phnom Penhphnom_penh_tour_royal_palace

Meet at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Please make sure you get your passport back from the reception as most of hotels in Vietnam take your passport when you checkd in. The transfer takes about 4 hours 30 minutes for 236km road. The aircon van is faster than the big bus. Cambodian visa processing at the border. Then continue the journey to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. After arriving in Phnom Penh, we check you in at the hotel and half day city tour. Afternoon, city tour to visit this bustling capital city including National Museum of Khmer Arts, Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. For half day tour, the time permits to visit only these 3 sites but if it is possible to visit Toul Sleng Genocide Museum and Cheung Ek Killing Field instead of the above 3 sites. Overnight in Phnom Penh.angkor_tour_sunset

Day 2: Phnom Penh - Siem Reap
Early breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to board to speed boat to Siem Reap. The boat has aircon and hot water. The boat journey takes about 6 hours crossing Tonle Sap lake, the biggest fresh water lake in Southeast Asia. Before arriving at the pier, the boat will pass the pictureque floating village. Upon arrival, transfer to check you in at the hotel. At 5 O' Clock, sunset tour at Phnom Bakheng to overlook Angkor Wat. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 3: Angkor Wat Tourangkor_wat_tour
Breakfast at the hotel. Full day Angkor trip to visit this ancient capital complex including Kravan temple, Ta Phrom the jungle temple embraced by giant trees and creepers. Visit the East Gate of Angkor Thom, Terrace of Elephant, Terrace of Leper Kings, Phimean Akas, Baphoun and the Bayon temple, located in the capital center which housed 1 million habitants around the city of Angkor Thom during the 12th century. Afernoon, extensively visit Angkor Wat, the 7th wonder of the world. Angkor Wat was built in 11th century by the King Suryavarman 1 dedicated to the Hindu God, Vishnu. Transfer back to town. Tour Ends.
