This Tour Mekong Delta in Vietnam to Phnom Penh, stars in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) where we pick you up from your hotel. Tour to visit Mekong Delta including Cai Be, Vinh Long, Can Tho and Chau Doc. Then take the boat from Chau Doc to Phnom Penh. It takes about 4 to 5 hours. Cambodian visa can be obtained at the border and costs USD20 per person. Please take 1 photo passport size. The tour finishes in Phnom Penh. The tour is extended to Angkor Wat for 3 more days 2 nights to visit Angkor temple complex, pre-Angkorian temples in Rolous Group, the most beautiful Banteay Srei temple and the Landmines Museum of Mr. Akira to learn the recent horrible history of the landmines issue in Cambodia.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: SAI GON - CAI BE - VINH LONG - CAN THO (B)
Day 2: CAN THO - CHAU DOC (B)
Breakfast in the hotel. Enjoy a boat trip on the Mekong river to visit Cai Rang, the famous floating market in the west of Viet Nam, along narrow waterways through the lush vegetation to an orchard garden where we have the opportunity to visit local homes. Disembarking and having lunch in local restaurant. Check-out hotel. Transfer to Chau Doc. Visit the Sam Mountain, the Tomb of Thoai Ngoc Hau, the foundator of Chau Doc area. Ba Chua Xu pagoda is a famous place with a legend for popular people. Check-in in the late evening. Overnight in Chau Doc.
Day 3: CHAU DOC - Phnom Penh (B)
Breakfast in the hotel. Boat cruise to 4 hours to Phnom Penh. It is one of the interesting boat cruise along Mekong River to see the 2 countries. Say goodbye to Vietnamese guide, take water, food, book etc, for your journey. Once arriving at the pier at Cambodia border, you will get Cambodian visa at the border (please bring 1 passport photo). Then continue cruising the upstream river to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, welcome by our guide, cool towel and lunch at the river front restaurant. Afternoon, city tour to visit this bustling capital city including National Museum of Khmer Arts, Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. Day 4: Phnom Penh - Siem Reap
Early breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to board to speed boat to Siem Reap. The boat has aircon and hot water. The boat journey takes about 6 hours crossing Tonle Sap lake, the biggest fresh water lake in Southeast Asia. Before arriving at the pier, the boat will pass the pictureque floating village. Upon arrival, transfer to check you in at the hotel.
At 5 O' Clock, sunset tour at Phnom Bakheng to overlook Angkor Wat. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 5: Angkor Wat Tour
Breakfast at the hotel. Full day Angkor trip to visit this ancient capital complex including Kravan temple, Ta Phrom the jungle temple embraced by giant trees and creepers. Visit the East Gate of Angkor Thom, Terrace of Elephant, Terrace of Leper Kings, Phimean Akas, Baphoun and the Bayon temple, located in the capital center which housed 1 million habitants around the city of Angkor Thom during the 12th century. Afernoon, extensively visit Angkor Wat, the 7th wonder of the world. Angkor Wat was built in 11th century by the King Suryavarman 1 dedicated to the Hindu God, Vishnu. Transfer back to the hotel. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 6: Rolous Group & Banteay
Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to visit the most beautiful Banteay Srei temple located 35km from Siem Reap town. On the way back, visit Landmines Museum of Mr. Akira. Cambodia used to have 10 million mines, one of the most country in the world had mines. Mr. Akira has been doing a great cause to help deminding landmines in Cambodia and helping the victims of landmines. He has been selected the World Top 10 Hero of CNN. Afternoon visit pre-Angkorian temple in Rolous Group including Pre Ko, Bakhong, Lo Lei. Transfer back to town. Tour Ends.
