Trip Profile: This Cambodia Laos Dirt Bike Tours start in Phnom Penh, ride around Tonle Sap lake to Siem Reap Angkor temple complex. Heading north-east toward Laos. Then ride back to Stung Treng and take another off road along the Mekong River. Continue to Kratie and Kampong Cham. The tour finishes in Phnom Penh. To fly to the starting point in Phnom Penh and flying out of Phnom Penh is better and cheaper than flying out of Pakse as there are not many flight options from there unless you continue to travel in Laos on your own. Then we can adjust the itinerary for you.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival Phnom Penh
Arrive at Phnom Penh International Airport. Welcome by our Dirt Bike Tour Guide. Checking the motorbikes and tour briefing. Welcome Dinner. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 2: Phnom Penh City Tour
Breakfast at the hotel. City tours to visit the bustling Phnom Penh Capital by motorbike. The traffic is very busy, so please follow the driving rule explained by our guide strictly. The city tour including National Museum, Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda. Afternoon, visit Toul Sleng Genocide Museum known as S21, Russian Market and Cheung Ek Killing Fields. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 3: Phnom Penh - Battambang
Breakfast at the hotel. Travel to Battambang, the biggest province produce rice in Cambodia. On the way, we stop to visit Kampong Chhnang and Pursat. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Afternoon, ride to take the bamboo train and visit the hilltop Phnom Sampov. The panromic view is wonderful with the sunset and limestones caves and the countryside surrounded the hill. Make Phnom Sampov the best place for sunset view. Overnight in Battambang.
Day 4: Battambang - Banteay Chhmar Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to Banteay Chhmar, the remote temple built by the Cambodian famous King Jayavarman VII. We stop shortly to get gasoline and restroom in Sisophon. Then visit Ang Trapaeng Thmor bird watching sanctuary to spot for Sarus Crane. Afternoon, continue the motorbike tours to Siem Reap. We arrive in Siem Reap late afternoon to check in at the hotel. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 5: Angkor Temple Complex (35km)
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, we explore the temples in Angkor Complex by motorbike on the back road. After getting our Angor pass at the check point, we visit the junlge temple of Ta Phrom, Kravan, Srah Srang, Banteay Kdei, Takeo, Chao Say Tevoda, Tommanon. We ride on the single trails to visit the former capital of Ankor Thom including Bayon, Baphoun, Phimean Akas, Terrace of Elephants, Terrace of Leaper King. Afternoon, we extensively visit Angkor Wat, the 7th Wonder of the World and sunset view. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 6: Beng Mealea & Preah Khan Breakfast at the hotel. Today, we ride on the back road through the countryside and the village to visit Beng Mealea temple. This trip will make special as we can escape from the crowded tourists in Angkor complex. After riding 20 to 25km on mixed of back road and dirt road, we arrive at the foot of Phnom Bok for water stop. Then, continue to abandoned temple Chay Srey Vibol temple built around 1100A.D. After the break, we take the trip to Beng Mealea via Wat Preah Bat 4 Than. The last part of the road is sealed but quiet. Visit Beng Mealea temple hidden in the jungle surrounded by its mood 900 meters by 1,200 meters. Beng Mealea is a beautiful, charming temple. It has it own character which cannot be found in any other temple. We can feel very peaceful sitting inside the temple as we can get rid of the many tourists at Angkor area.
Afternoon, visit Preah Khan temple located in Kampong Svay district. Preah Khan was once served as the capital when the King moved the capital there for a short period of time before the next King moved back. Overnight in Ta Seng village located near Preah Khan temple.
Day 7: Preah Khan - Thbeng Meanchey - Stung Treng We have simple breakfast. Then ried to Thbeng Meanchey, the provincial capital of Preah Vihear province. We stop in the town to get gasoline before crossing to Thala Variwat. Here, we have to take a ferry. Continue the motorcycle tours to Stung Treng. Our dirt road today is very slippy in rainy season from May to October. So, we have to caution all the times. We arrive in Stung Treng and check in at the hotel. Overnight in Stung Treng.
Day 8: Stung Treng - 4 Thousand Islands Breakfast in Stung Treng. We check our passport before checking out of the hotel. Ride 57km to the border at Trapaeng Kriel. Immigration process and get for Laos visa at Laos immirgration office (please prepare 1 photo passport size). We stop for lunch at Khone Paphaeng located near Cambodia border. The water fall is one of the biggest water fall in Southeast Asia. Afternoon, continue to ride to Done Daet, one of the island located in the 4 Thousand Islands. Overnight in Done Khong.
Day 9: 4 Thousand Islands - Xe Pian
After breakfast, we enjoy the ride on 3 of the islands including Done Daet to visit the Endangered Irrawady Dolphin, French death railways. Take the ferry to Don Som and ride on Don Khong before taking the road to Xe Pian Biodiversity Center. We ride uphill to visit Phou Asa. Another option is to take the Elephant uphill to see the Sunset at USD10 per person. Overnight at Xe Pian.
Day 10: Wat Phu - Pakse
After breakfast, we ride to catch the ferry at Ban Mueung crossing the Mekong River. Continue to ride to visit Wat Phu, the pre-Angkorian temple located on the foot of Champasak hill. Lunch at Wat Phu. Afternoon, ride on the new road to avoid crossing the ferry again. Then we take the new bridge connected to the quiet town of Pakse. Check in at the hotel. Overnight in Pakse.
Day 11: Pakse - Stung Treng Breakfast at the hotel. We ride back to Cambodia border. Immigration process. Then visit Ou Svay and put our bikes on the boat to Preah Romkel. There might be a chance where can see the dolphin again. Then ride to Sopheak Mit water fall. We might get on and off the bike and walk the final part when crossing the small river. It depends on the season. The level of water in rainy season and dry season here is different. After the visit, continue to ride back to Stung Treng for overnight.
Day 12: Stung Treng - Kratie After breakfast, we take the dirt road along the Mekong River to Sre Krasang. Then continue on the sealed road before turning right on the back road. This road along the Mekong River is less busy with traffic. We enjoy the scenery, the village along the river. Then we stop at Prek Kampi to take the boat trip to spot for Irrawady Dolphin. If we missed the dolphin in Laos, we won't miss the chance to see the dolphin at Prek Kampi as they mostly show up at this spot. Check in at the hotel. Overnight in Kratie.
Day 13: Kratie - Phnom Penh After breakfast. We ride along the Mekong River to cross the ferry at Stung Trong. Continue on the dirt road to Kampong Cham. We stop to visit the hilltop Han Chey temple. From Kampong Cham, we take the off road along the Mekong river passing Peam Chikong. Afternoon, we arrive at Roka Kong then continue 40km on the sealed road to Phnom Penh. This part of the road is getting busy as we cannot avoid to take another getting to Phnom Penh. Tour Ends.

This tour mostly follows mixed of dirt road, passing the countryside and the rice field, the jungle. The back road along the Mekong river and village is small but enjoyable for motorbike, less busy. A little bit sandy, muddy and potholes.
